Job description

The Consumer Credit Risk Data Scientist will be part of the Consumer Credit Risk organization will be responsible for coming up with innovative data-driven solutions to business problems related to Credit Risk in Unsecured Lending.




  • Will be a technical (modeling & advanced analytics) expert, having demonstrated ability to use statistical techniques to solve problems


  • Expected to be a strategic thinker and self starter with an ability to use data to tell compelling stories to the management


Qualifications



Required Skills/Experience:




  • 3+ years financial or quantitative experience


  • 2-3 years experience programming in SAS, SQL, Python, R


  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical aptitude


  • Ability to effectively communicate and present recommendations and solutions to business partners and internal team members


Preferred Skills/Experience:




  • 3-5 years analytical or quantitative experience, preferably in retail credit risk


  • 3+ years experience programming in SAS, SQL, R, Python and proven experience with relational databases


Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:




  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative disciple (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Economics) required


  • Master’s  degree in a quantitative disciple (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Economics) preferred


Hours & Work Schedule


Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F 8-5
